As a Functional Analyst, you work closely with the Product Owner Distribution and the Product
Owner Customer to define and design the solutions we offer.
You act as a strategic bridge between the business side and the technical team made up of
integration specialists and Salesforce administrators.
Your mission covers both the quality management of data and the implementation of complete
processes, from design to production.
Main responsibilities:
The functional analyst has a key role in the team, combining analysis, coordination, and validation,
with a big focus on communication and structuring needs, from understanding them to
implementing them and validating them through testing. He/she acts like a real functional analyst,
able to close the gap between the business side and IT and make sure everyone is aligned.
1. Analysis of business needs:
• Discuss with business and technical experts to understand the overall needs
• Turn these needs into detailed and structured requirements
• Define and check the scope of major projects
• Validate the needs with all stakeholders and suggest alternatives if needed
2. Functional analysis:
• Gather relevant functional and technical information, even if the documentation is limited
• Summarize the knowledge needed to carry out the functional analysis
• Work closely with business representatives and IT experts to successfully complete the
analysis
• Organize review cycles if needed to ensure the quality of the analysis (including impact
assessments and gap analyses)
• Thoroughly document the results of your analyses
• Complete tickets (User Stories, Features…) according to the team’s ready definition
(acceptance criteria, test plans, subtasks…)
• Apply company standards and make sure they’re followed to ensure consistency in
development.
3. Participation in testing phases:
• Actively contribute to the testing phases (System Testing, System Integration Testing, UAT)
• Validate IT and business test cases, and be the main point of contact for the Test Coordinator
Your profile:
Beyond technical skills, soft skills are crucial. What really matters is the ability to seek out
information, even when it doesn’t come to you naturally, and to share it effectively to get the right
people involved — in other words, not getting stuck alone when faced with a gray zone.
Need to have :
• Master’s in IT or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in a similar position (min 5 years)
• Experience in managing and visualizing cross-functional processes is essential to effectively
navigate complex environments where topics go far beyond the scope of a single team
• Strong analytical skills combined with thorough documentation
• Excellent communication skills, helping to close the gap between business and IT without
losing anyone along the way
• Autonomy, proactivity, and decision-making ability to move things forward without
• Experience in creating test plans and using test management tools (Zephyr)
• A true team spirit and solution-oriented mindset
• Proficient in Enterprise Architect & Jira
• Very good communication skills in Dutch/French and English
• Agile approach, solution-oriented, and collaborative
